I started playing the piano and cello at the age of four. As my interest in music developed I was delighted to win a scholarship at the Junior Department of the Royal College of Music aged eleven.
At eighteen I won an exhibition to the Royal College of Music to further her studies to a professional level. During these studies, I was exceptionally lucky to have been taught the piano by the late Peter Wallfisch whose musical knowledge and techniques were inspirational.
Having spent fourteen years in Malta playing with the Malta Philharmonic, I came back to the UK to bring up my children several years ago. Since returning I have taught at St Clare’s, Oxford and Cokethorpe School, Witney as well as teaching privately at my home.
I offer lessons for students from the ages 5 upwards, with many younger learners and adults attending lessons. Lessons are tailored to the requirements of the individual and are fun!
I believe that enjoying learning to play is the most important aspect when learning anything. Because of this, I like to make sure my lessons are as enjoyable as possible for the learner.
